Jenn and I were in charge of making the cake for the baby shower of a friend of ours. In typical fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants style, I didn't really think about the cake until the morning before the shower- when I got a panicked phone call and text message from Jenn, determined to buy a cake from a bakery. After pulling herself together, we came up with a fast plan, and 10 hours later, we had the cake. We were quite proud of its appearance, and later, by its taste. After making and baking, we frosted. This was the first layer in a multitude of layers of icing.
Four hours after the first layer of frosting, we proudly sat with our precious.
